Today, January 8th, marked the 2nd anniversary of Gabby Giffords's shooting. It was a hard day for many residents of Tucson in particular, myself included. The incident occurred just a few miles from where we live and I drive by that corner several times a week. Remembering the tragic events of that horrific day makes me very sad, so I went outside in my yard to meditate and pray for healing. Surely, I'm not the only one who decided to go outside to mourn. Of course stepping out back involved a visit from my hummer and I soon forgot the sadness. Birds have such a way of taking all the pain away. My motto, when you're feeling down...go birding!
On that note, I'll share some of the images I've taken over the past few days. Hope they bring you some joy as well.

May all those effected by the tragedy have continued healing and may lovely little birds bring joy into their hearts. xx
